Kohphangan used to be the hippy heaven, today a 'more mixed range' of visitors arrives here.One thing most of them have in common is they want to find a relaxed and easy going place. The southeast part of Kohphangan is the main party area which includes HaadRin and the full moon party beach. Nearly all of the area surrounding Had Rin is mountains making most of the excellent white beaches unable to reach by road, the only way to get to them is by longtail boat from HadRin. The island of Koh Phangan was first discovered by travelers a mere twentytwo years ago, Koh Phangan was actually inhabited already about 2000 years ago by sea gypsies coming from the area today called malaysia. The island was a few years later settled by Chinese people originating from Hainan . The weather condition in the Kingdom of Thailand can be exceedingly equatorial, warm and humid.
